Zen and the Art of Making Almond Milk
December 23, 2008 | Featured, Recipes | Share
I make almond milk almost everyday, and I’m amazed at how refreshing it tastes. And I’m 100% certain it tastes better than any cow’s milk or soy milk from the stores! And healthier!
Basic Ingredients
- 1 – cup of raw almonds
- 2 – pints of purified water
Instructions
- Soak the almonds in water overnight in the fridge.
- Drain water and put almonds in a blender.
- Add 2 pints of purified spring water.
- Blend! And watch it transform into almond milk!
- Pour the almond milk into a container through a nut bag, cheese cloth or some form of strainer.
- Drink it fresh! Or refrigerate until ready to serve!
Additional Notes
For a smoother, creamier almond milk – blend one more time before refrigerating or serving. And save the pulp for making nut dip or nut cheese!
